Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust heavily fined

Nottingham Magistrates Court has imposed a fine on NUH of £1.6 million following the Trust's failure to provide safe care and treatment to three babies and their mothers. The Trust admitted six counts of failing to provide safe care and treatment The prosecution was brought by the Care Quality Commission and the fine was the largest ever imposed in respect of maternity care.
