Wrong diagnosis boy wins damages

A boy has been awarded damages after he had both legs amputated below the knee when he was wrongly diagnosed with chicken pox. In fact, he had meningitis, but this was not diagnosed until his parents took him back to hospital the following day. Reports said it could take up to three years before his compensation is agreed.
