Tube driver wins unfair dismissal case

A Tube driver has won his case for unfair dismissal after he was sacked for playing squash whilst on sick leave. London Underground investigators saw the driver leave a sports centre, but he claimed that he had been advised to play squash by a therapist. The sacking resulted in a strike by the driver’s union. The driver now has a new job with a local authority.
