Third party cover for 2004 Olympic Games

The organizing committee of the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens is reported to have bought a €200mn insurance programme to cover third-party liability risks. The coverage is written by Agrotiki Insurance and is reinsured at Lloyd’s and in the London market. The risk was placed by Swinglehurst, together with a domestic Greek broker and Mar Risk Services. The policy covers both athletes and spectators.
