£1.6mn for car crash victim

The victim of a car crash which resulted in severe brain injuries has received an out-of-court settlement of more than £1.6mn. The woman was injured when the driver of the car in which the woman was travelling lost control of the car. He was found to be speeding and over the alcohol limit. The woman requires constant care and treatment and will never work again. The case was settled shortly before the case was due to be heard.
