No duty of care over icy roads

There was no common law duty of care upon highway authorities to remedy the formation of ice on roads. The Court of Appeal dismissed the appeal of the first and second claimants, against dismissal of their claim for damages against the Department of Transport, Environment and the Regions arising out of a fatal road accident.
