Latin American airlines have until 11 February next year to take up liability cover arranged by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) to insure passengers against war and terrorism hazards, according to ICAO president, Assaid Kotaite. Mr Kotaite was speaking during the XV General Assembly of the Latin American Civil Aviation Committee (CLAC) which took place in Asunción, Paraguay. CLAC brings together the public and private aviation authorities of 21 Latin American countries. Mr Kotaite said that all ICAO members may take up the cover.
