Myth and reality

An online survey of 1,000 drivers conducted by Progressive Insurance, the third largest motor insurer in the US, found that a significant number of respondents believed that the colour of a car influences how much it costs to insure it, that comprehensive coverage protects drivers in all situations, that car insurance companies can charge whatever they want and that car insurance rates go down dramatically when drivers turn 25. The survey was part of a combined education and marketing campaign by Progressive Insurance.
