10.11, Ogun State air crash

Nigeria: more than 80% of the entombed Bellview aircraft (Boeing 737-2L9 5N-BFN) that crashed in October at Lisa Igbore village in Ifo area of Ogun State, have been excavated. The 117 people on board the aircraft died. Bellview Airlines pledged, to pay the families of all passengers on board insurance compensations whether their names were on the manifest or not. There will be an initial payment of $10,000 compensation per passenger. Each passenger is entitled to $100,000 compensation. The balance of $90,000 will be paid after all the necessary assessments by Lloyd’s of London have been completed.
