Earthquake triggers payments from Caribbean catastrophe fund

Provisional calculations suggest losses from Dominica and St Lucia will be enough to draw from the facility

An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.4 struck the north of Martinique at the end of November. Martinique has suffered the most significant damage, with reports of several collapsed buildings, while superficial damage has been reported from Dominica southwards to St Vincent and the Grenadines.
