Customs officials and shipping industry discuss measures

Shipowners, managers and P&I club representatives met recently at the Brussels-based World Customs Organisation with customs officials from Belgium, Germany, Sweden and the UK. Following a briefing on the latest trends in illicit drug smuggling, attendees discussed options for reducing the use of innocent merchant ships to carry illicit goods between countries.
