18.1
A member’s funds at Lloyd’s (FAL) consist of the member’s Lloyd’s deposit, personal reserve fund, and, in the case of an individual member, any special reserve fund established by the member. Funds at Lloyd’s serve as regulatory capital1 and their primary purpose is to be available to meet cash calls on the member, i.e. to replenish a particular Managing Agent’s Sub-Fund of a member’s PTF so far as it relates to particular syndicate.
