Where Courts should intervene in conduct of an arbitration prior to the making of an award

Charterers applied to continue an injunction restraining arbitrators from making an award until they were able to obtain evidence from Australia which they considered vital. The disputed damage had occurred in August, 1976 and the hearing had taken place in May, 1980. The arbitrators had granted one and refused two charterers’ applications for an adjournment.
