APPENDIX B
Offshore construction and Project Controls
A Introduction
B.1 Project Controls in the offshore sector is concerned with the Contractor’s schedule, cost and contract management processes, which represent key commercial activities on any project. Indeed, the attention to Project Controls influences the Contractor’s ability to particularize its final account and to seek the appropriate compensation for project variations, delays and prolongation, as well as for labour disruption and loss of productivity. The objective of this appendix is to explain Project Controls activities during the execution of a project and their influences on some of the legal topics and issues discussed in the chapters of this book.
