1.1 A book on the legal issues relating specifically to offshore floating production is long overdue. Some of the legal topics may be covered in texts on subjects such as oil and gas contracts, offshore construction, maritime charterparties, shipping and insurance, but they have not previously been brought into one text, nor examined with only floating production in mind.
