I An Overview – Some Fundamental Precepts

Liability, or being liable, lies at the core of the whole “universe of law”. Any action, act, or omission, or behaviour – or rather misbehaviour – that is not somehow chastised or reproached by law, or in more legal parlance does not lead to the application of a sanction,1 and consequently does not entail liability, will be equal to grandma's recipe for a pudding.2
